U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich tours La Clinica de Familia Santa Teresa School-Based Clinic and receives a briefing on the facility's impact on the community. A $500,000 grant from Health Resources and Services Administration capital project outlays under the Affordable Care Act allowed La Clinica de Familia to build the new health center next to Santa Teresa High School and strengthen its existing school-based health services. La Clinica de Familia is a Federally Qualified Health Center that operates across Doña Ana County and provides affordable health care through a system of seven medical clinics, five dental clinics, three school-based clinics, behavioral health services, and Early Head Start, Healthy Start, and Promotora programs.
