Heinrich, National Wildlife Federation's Collin O'Mara, New Mexico's Axie Navas to Discuss How Conservation Solutions Can Confront COVID-19 Unemployment Crisis

WASHINGTON — U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.), National Wildlife Federation President and CEO Collin O’Mara, and Director of New Mexico’s Outdoor Recreation Division Axie Navas, will host a press call Thursday, June 4, at 8:15 a.m. MT/ 10:15 a.m. ET to discuss how passing the Great America Outdoors Act and creating a 21st Century Civilian Conservation Corps will put Americans back to work, restore our parks and public lands, and recover wildlife.

Heinrich, O’Mara, and Navas will discuss the upcoming Senate vote on the Great America Outdoors Act and the need for the U.S. House of Representatives to follow suit. They also will discuss how a new Civilian Conservation Corps can address the historic COVID-19 joblessness crisis in New Mexico and nationwide.
