Heinrich To Chair MilCon, VA Subcommittee Hearing To Review FY22 Budget Request For Military Construction, Family Housing

WASHINGTON – Tomorrow, Wednesday, June 16, at 10 a.m. ET/ 8 a.m. MT, U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) will Chair the Senate Appropriations Subcommittee on Military Construction, Veterans Affairs, and Related Agencies hearing to review the Fiscal Year (FY) 2022 budget request for military construction and family housing.

On May 28, the Biden-Harris administration submitted to Congress the President’s FY22 budget request of $752.9 billion for national defense, $715 billion of which is for the Department of Defense (DOD). The budget request included nearly $10 billion for investments in military construction and family housing.
