SOLAR WORKS FOR RURAL SMALL BUSINESSES
The cost of installing solar power is at a record low. Solar delivers clean, sustainable energy for less, and rural businesses across New Mexico are leading the way.
How will we pay for solar?
Additionally, rural businesses and residents have access to a surplus of resources from the U.S. Department of Agriculture - Rural Development (USDA RD). Small businesses and agricultural producers are eligible for USDA RD’s Rural Energy for America Program (REAP). The program provides loans or grants to help finance energy efficiency and renewable energy projects for rural America. Small businesses can also apply for the New Mexico Small Business Assistance (NMSBA) Program, which provides direct access to the scientists and engineers at Sandia and Los Alamos National Laboratories to assist with technical challenges.
