Founded by U.S. Senators Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) and Tina Smith (D-Minn.) and U.S. Representatives Paul Tonko (D-N.Y.) and Kathy Castor (D-Fla.), the first-ever bicameral Electrification Caucus supports efforts to save money, create jobs, and clean our air. Electrifying our homes, commercial buildings, and vehicles is one of the most practical actions we can take to address the climate crisis – and it is also currently the biggest ambition gap in our climate strategy and deserves to be elevated.
