U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich visits the Columbine-Hondo Wilderness Study Area in Taos County to meet with local residents, elected officials, tribal leaders, regional stakeholders, sportsmen and U.S. Forest Service employees. During a hike into the area, they discussed legislation he and U.S. Senator Tom Udall introduced to conserve the Columbine-Hondo while creating new opportunities for economic development in the surrounding communities. The group also celebrated Senator Heinrich and Taos Mayor Dan Barrone's birthdays by presenting them with orange flower leis.
