U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich visited Health Leadership High School in Albuquerque to meet with students who are studying for careers in the health care field. The school focuses on providing students with hands-on work experience through internships and career exploration opportunities. Senator Heinrich toured the campus and hosted a discussion with students about their current projects, experiences with the school, and plans to advance their education and careers. Health Leadership High School opened in August 2013 in partnership with First Choice Healthcare, Presbyterian Healthcare Services, and the University of New Mexico Hospital.
