Heinrich Marks One-Year Anniversary of Recovery Act By Highlighting Job Creation

February 12, 2010 - Representative Martin Heinrich went to the construction site of NewLife Homes on Albuquerque’s Westside to meet with New Mexicans who have been put to work because of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act. Funded through the Recovery Act’s Tax Credit Exchange Program, NewLife Homes is an affordable housing project building 48 units for low income individuals with mental and physical disabilities, some of whom are transitioning out of homelessness. The project will create or retain 100 jobs. The Recovery Act was signed into law on February 17, 2009.
