Heinrich Visits Rio Mora National Wildlife Refuge and Conservation Area in Watrous

On Wednesday, April 20, U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich visited the Rio Mora National Wildlife Refuge and Conservation Area in Watrous. This is the first refuge to seek Land and Water Conservation (LWCF) funding since the Great American Outdoors Act (GAOA) was signed into law. Senator Heinrich helped championed GAOA, which permanently and fully funded the LWCF. The group will meet with key refuge partners such as the Pueblo of Pojoaque and the Hermit’s Peak Watershed Alliance.
