U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich tours the Taos Military Family Respite Center and meets with the AmeriCorps NCCC team that is currently working on remodeling the facility. The center is owned and managed by Not Forgotten Outreach Inc., a local organization dedicated to motivating veterans and their families to participate in recreational activities in order to facilitate the transition from active duty to civilian life. The Military Family Respite Center connects veterans to job opportunities, helps them access benefits, and provides peer counseling and mentorship opportunities.
