Raising The National Minimum Wage Press Conference, October 16, 2014

U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) visits the Mountain View Market in Las Cruces to talk about the growing income inequality in America and the importance of raising the national minimum wage to $10.10 for all workers. Mountain View Market employs workers who earn above the federal minimum wage. The Senator was joined by local business owners, workers, and representatives from Comunidades en Acción y de Fé (CAFé). Senator Heinrich is a cosponsor of the Fair Minimum Wage Act, legislation that would raise the national minimum wage from $7.25 to $10.10 over three years and index future wage increases to inflation.
