    U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) hosts the 2019 Energy Summit: Building New Mexico's Clean Energy Future with the City of Albuquerque, State of New Mexico, Bernalillo County, Rocky Mountain Institute, U.S. Department of Energy, and National Renewable Energy Laboratory. The goal of this Energy Summit is to give local and tribal governments the tools and resources they need to reduce carbon emissions in their communities and put New Mexico on a path toward a cleaner future. August 5 and 6, 2019.

      During National Farmers Market Week, U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) visits the Santa Fe Farmers' Market as with his wife, Julie and son, Micah, as part of his 2019 Local Food Tour. He's joined by Mayor Alan Webber, La Mesilla Farmers, General Manager of the Santa Fe Farmers' Market Debbie Burns, Executive Director Denise Miller and Value Chain Coordinator Mike V. of the New Mexico Farmers' Marketing Association, Farmer with Revolution Farm and member of the National Young Farmers' Coalition Alex Pino, and New Mexico Representative of the National Young Farmers' Coalition, Zoey Fink. With up to 130 vendors from 15 northern counties selling diverse and locally-grown products, Santa Fe Farmers' Market is regularly voted among the top 10 markets in the country. August 7, 2019.

        U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) visits Reunity Resources with his wife, Julie and son, Micah, during his 2019 Local Food Tour. On the tour, he meets co-founders Tejinder Ciano and Juliana Ciano Reunity. Resources is a Santa Fe community farm that turns food waste from local schools and restaurants into compost for gardeners and farmers. In addition to turning food waste into value, Reunity Resources gives back to the community by donating thousands of pounds of produce to northern New Mexico food banks and shelters each year.
