    On Tuesday, April 6, 2021, Senator Heinrich joined Interior Secretary Deb Haaland, the All Pueblo Council of Governors, Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham, Senator Ben Ray Luján, and Representative Teresa Leger Fernández about the $31 billion secured in the American Rescue Plan to help Tribal nations recover and rebuild. This funding is the single largest dedicated infusion of resources to Indian Country in U.S. history.

            On Feb. 17, 2021, U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) visited a mobile outreach site for Albuquerque Health Care for the Homeless (AHCH) and met with members of their integrated medical outreach team. Senator Heinrich saw firsthand how AHCH directs medical outreach and harm reduction care in Albuquerque, and how they have been able to continue their services thanks to federal funding Senator Heinrich helped secure in the CARES Act.
