            U.S. Senator Heinrich toured Lovelace Women’s Hospital in Albuquerque on February 20, 2014. Hospital administrators briefed the Senator on new programs to promote early cancer screening and health care enrollment. They also discussed ways to recruit and retain doctors and nurses who want to focus on women’s health and preventative care. Senator Heinrich also met with doctors, nurses, and staff from the hospital’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit.

              U.S. Senators Martin Heinrich and Tom Udall host Secretary of the Interior Sally Jewell in Doña Ana County for a tour of the proposed Organ Mountains-Desert Peaks National Monument. The visit included a briefing and tour of the U.S.-Mexico border by U.S. Customs and Border Patrol officials, a hike in the Sierra de las Uvas, a press conference and a public meeting in Las Cruces.
