Electrification Caucus Releases Fact Sheet On How The Inflation Reduction Act Will Electrify America’s Future, Lower Energy Costs

WASHINGTON – Ahead of the White House celebration of the historic Inflation Reduction Act today, the Co-Chairs of the Electrification Caucus U.S. Senators Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) and Tina Smith (D-Minn.) and U.S. Representatives Kathy Castor (D-Fla.) and Paul Tonko (D-N.Y.) released a fact sheet highlighting the game-changing provisions in the new law that will electrify America’s future.

“The clean energy and electrification investments that we secured in the Inflation Reduction Act are by far the most significant steps that Congress has ever taken to spur the widespread deployment of highly-efficient, fully electric and climate pollution free technologies,” said Heinrich, Smith, Castor, and Tonko. “The Inflation Reduction Act includes historic new investments and tax credits for clean electrification of homes, buildings, transportation, and industry. These measures will help save families hundreds of dollars on their energy bills, create millions of new jobs, address the climate crisis, and build cleaner, healthier homes and communities all across America.”
