Heinrich, Mayor Keller To Hold Press Conference On Local Impact Of American Rescue Plan

ALBUQUERQUE – Tomorrow, Tuesday, March 16, 2021 at 1:30 p.m. MT/3:30 p.m. ET, U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) and Albuquerque Mayor Tim Keller will hold a virtual press conference to highlight the local impact of the American Rescue Plan. This new law will meet the scale of the unprecedented crisis facing the country, delivering health and economic resources to New Mexico.

Senator Heinrich and Mayor Keller will highlight how the $360 billion included in the American Rescue Plan for states and localities will help to keep frontline workers on the job as well as fund essential services. They will also discuss a new $28.6 billion revitalization fund that Senator Heinrich helped secure to support local restaurants as they deal with the challenges facing the industry because of COVID-19, as well as critical funding for children and families and vaccine distribution.

Senator Heinrich and Mayor Keller will deliver brief remarks and then take questions from the media.
