Heinrich Statement On Bipartisan Infrastructure Framework Agreement

WASHINGTON – U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) issued the following statement after a group of Democratic and Republican senators agreed on a bipartisan infrastructure framework:

“Just days ago, surface temperatures in the Siberian Arctic hit 118 degrees Fahrenheit. That should scare the hell out of us. We need action on climate that meets the scale and speed of the problem.

“There are some really important investments in this infrastructure package. If this package of investments is paired with additional climate investments and a clean energy standard through the budget reconciliation process, then we will have begun to take meaningful action to protect our future.”
