Heinrich Statement on Treasury Electric Vehicle Tax Credit Guidance

WASHINGTON - U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.), a member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, released the following statement on the U.S. Department of the Treasury’s guidance for implementing the Section 30D new electric vehicle (EV) tax credit in the Inflation Reduction Act:

“These proposed rules maximize the number of clean vehicles we can get on the road right away, creating cost savings and better air quality for everyone.  Combined with the investments in the Inflation Reduction Act and Infrastructure Law, this latest guidance will help make EVs cheaper and boost domestic auto manufacturing and American jobs.”
