U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich met with Santa Fe Institute fellows and administrators to discuss their latest research on health and economic development. Senator Heinrich highlighted the importance of investing in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) education and how math and science can help make decisions based on data. Senator Heinrich is a strong proponent on STEM education and the only engineer in the U.S. Senate.
