ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. - Today, U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) visited with the New Mexico National Guard and health care workers that are assisting with efforts to help more New Mexicans receive the COVID-19 vaccine.
“We secured provisions in the American Rescue Plan to ramp up vaccine distribution and help communities and businesses recover. They mark the beginning of the end of the COVID-19 pandemic,” said Heinrich. “Thank you to the New Mexico National Guard and health care workers helping to get more vaccines into more arms. I encourage every New Mexican to make a plan to get vaccinated.”
Senator Heinrich helped secure $20 billion in the American Rescue Plan to supercharge nationwide vaccine distributions, as well as $50 billion for testing, genomic sequencing of variants, and contact tracing efforts.
