Heinrich Update On Operations Of D.C., New Mexico Offices

WASHINGTON– U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) today announced that out of an abundance of caution and for the health and safety of both staff and visitors, his Washington, D.C. office will be operating with minimized on-site staff, with the remainder of staff working remotely. The New Mexico offices remain fully staffed.

Senator Heinrich will continue to carry out his official duties.

Senator Heinrich will continue to keep New Mexicans informed of any changes and encourages residents to contact his offices for any assistance needed. Senator Heinrich is also encouraging New Mexico residents to visit his online resource center for COVID-19 at www.Heinrich.Senate.Gov/Coronavirus.

The health of all New Mexico communities is Senator Heinrich’s top priority. Senator Heinrich will continue to work with the entire New Mexico delegation to stay in close communication with federal, state, Tribal and local agencies and work to ensure that the state has the resources it needs to protect public health and keep families safe.

Senator Heinrich continues to hold the Trump administration accountable to do more to ensure the widespread availability of testing and monitoring, to effectively and transparently communicate with state agencies, and to assure the public that there is seamless coordination in the federal government’s response to COVID-19.

Senator Heinrich is urging New Mexicans to follow the advice of trusted federal, state and local public health officials to keep themselves, their families, and their communities safe.
