We can't wait
Dear Friend,
We can’t wait any longer to act on climate. This is our moment. The Build Back Better Plan is our best and maybe our last opportunity to meet the challenges that we will be judged on by our children, our grandchildren, and future generations. This morning, I joined many of my fellow lawmakers in both the Senate and the House and climate activists for a rally in front of the U.S. Capitol to make sure we seize this moment to pass investments and policies that are proportionate to this problem.

Our climate problem is by far the greatest challenge of our generation. New Mexico’s land and water resources are already facing down the impacts of worsening floods, wildfires, water shortages, and long-term aridification. If we want to leave our children with a livable planet, we cannot squander this once-in-a-generation opportunity to enact the policies and investments that will make a real difference.
