    U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich, met with Tesuque Pueblo Governor Rick Vigil and toured the Rio Tesuque Creek to learn about the Pueblo’s channel modification plans. This project will improve water flow and storage for irrigation and cultural uses.

        U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich, visits with veterans at the Albuquerque airport before they depart for Washington, D.C. with the Honor Flight of Northern New Mexico. The Honor Flight Network is a non-profit organization that transports our heroes to our nation’s capital to visit and reflect at their memorials. Top priority is given to the senior veterans – World War II survivors, along with veterans who may be terminally ill.

          • New Combat Rescue Helicopter Ffleet at Kirtland Air Force Base, May 31, 2016 »

            At a press conference with the 58th Special Operations Wing in a hanger at Kirtland Air Force Base (KAFB), U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich announced that KAFB will receive a new combat search and rescue helicopter fleet to replace current aging aircraft. KAFB will be the first Air Force installation in the country to receive the new Combat Rescue Helicopters (CRH). According to the fielding plan, KAFB will receive a total of 14 Combat Rescue Helicopters between fiscal year 2020 and 2028. Senator Heinrich fought against a proposal to terminate the helicopter replacement program in 2014 and has advocated on the Senate Armed Services Committee to replace the existing fleet.

              U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich joined the Los Alamos National Laboratory Major Subcontractors Consortium (MSC) in a meeting where he met several New Mexico small business owners. LANL subcontractors employ approximately 2,000 New Mexico workers. MSC supports education, economic development, and community giving throughout Northern New Mexico.
