Heinrich To Participate In Senate Intel Hearing On Social Media Influence In 2016 U.S. Elections

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Tomorrow, Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at 7:30 a.m. MT/ 9:30 a.m. ET, U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) will question key officials from Facebook, Twitter and Google during a Senate Select Committee on Intelligence open hearing on social media influence in the 2016 U.S. elections. This hearing is the latest in a series of hearings that focus on Russia’s interference in the 2016 U.S. elections. The witnesses will address social media influence in the 2016 U.S. elections and what steps they are taking to mitigate foreign interference in the 2018 election cycle and beyond.  

The hearing will stream live online and on Senator Heinrich's Facebook page.
