Udall, Heinrich To Speak At Press Conference On Permanent Reauthorization Of Land And Water Conservation Fund

WASHINGTON, D.C. – Tomorrow, Thursday, October 5 at 7:30 a.m. MT/ 9:30 a.m. ET, U.S. Senators Tom Udall and Martin Heinrich, will join a bipartisan group of Senators, the Nature Conservancy, the Southern Appalachian Highlands Conservancy, and other groups to highlight the successes of the Land and Water Conservation Fund.

The Land and Water Conservation Fund is one of the nation’s oldest and most successful conservation programs, which operates with no taxpayer funding. Senators Udall and Heinrich have long advocated for the permanent reauthorization and full funding of LWCF. This vital program expires one year from now on September 30, 2018.
