Heinrich Statement On Final Passage Of Clean Continuing Funding Resolution

WASHINGTON, D.C. - U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) released the following statement today after voting to pass a continuing resolution that would keep the government funded through December 11, 2015:

“It’s my hope that this marks the end of governing by manufactured crises and a return to focusing on growing the economy and making sure all Americans get a fair shake at getting ahead. Without wasting anymore time, Democrats and Republicans must now work together toward a reasonable, long-term budget agreement that makes investments in the middle class and reverses the across-the-board sequester cuts that threaten our economy and hard-working families.”

The resolution passed the Senate by a vote of 78 to 20 and now goes to the U.S. House of Representatives for consideration.
