      U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) toured Haley Farms, a family-owned small business, in Roswell to discuss how renewable energy programs can help New Mexico's agriculture industry. The facility uses a solar photovoltaic system to operate a 260-acre pecan farm. The solar array includes 1,518 solar panels on a 2.75-acre area.

          U.S. Senator Heinrich (D-N.M.) meets students from Roswell's Job Corps center to discuss expanding employment opportunities for young adults in the region. Job Corps is a no-cost education, career, technical training program administered by the U.S. Department of Labor. Senator Heinrich is a member of the National Service Congressional Caucus and the only sitting senator to have served in AmeriCorps.

            U.S. Senator Martin Heinrich (D-N.M.) toured the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service's Southwestern Native Aquatic Resources and Recovery Center in Dexter, New Mexico. The facility provides research and expertise on more than 20 different species for fish facilities in New Mexico, Arizona, Texas, and Oklahoma. The center has addressed regional priorities related to threatened and endangered species for almost 50 years.
